Test Administration

General Configuration

Settings changed on this page apply to all of your tests.

Do you want test-takers to be shown a login page before reaching their test? If this is set to no, no identifying information will be asked of the test-takers (and you can skip the rest of this configuration section).

How many times should a student be allowed to take each test?

Leave blank for no limit. The limit will only be enforced if the test is password-protected.

Allow students to re-enter a partially completed test and resume where they left off?

Give each student a unique code for resuming their test? Use this if you don't set passwords for each student, otherwise they can resume someone else's test just by username.

Only applicable if "allow resume" is enabled above.

Allow students to select from a list of all available tests on the login page. Otherwise, you must specify which test is to be taken in your links to the login page.

The "name" field is the primary way to identify your test-takers. Here you can change what we call it, for example to "Full Name", "ID Number", or "Username".

Label for the password field (if applicable)

In addition to their name and password, you can ask test-takers for up to ten pieces of additional information. Note that changing these labels will change the labels for any previous test submissions too.

If you've specified additional fields above, require all of them to be filled out before the student can continue?

To hide some of the additional fields above, without removing them, specify the numbers of the fields to hide, separated by commas. E.g. "2, 4, 5"

If the test has a time limit and resuming is allowed, pause the timer while the student is away?

Display one question at a time when taking the test?

Display detailed results? On the results page, tells the student whether they answered each question correctly, shows explanations where given, and more detailed results.

Reveal the correct answers to the students after they've completed the test?

Display the student's score after they've completed the test?

You can change the number of points each question is worth. Do you want to display the weighting beside each question?

Number each test question?

Allow students to print the test before they are finished?

Allow students to print the page giving their results?

Applies only to multiple choice questions with more than one correct answer: Require the student to get all the answers correct in order to get a point for the question? Otherwise, each answer will be scored separately, as if each is a true/false question. More info

Include each of the student's responses in the results e-mails?

Include correct answers in the results e-mails? "Email responses" must also be enabled above.

Attach a copy of the results page that was shown to the student? This is independent of the above two settings.

Attach a copy of the certificate, if available, to results e-mails?

Email the certificate as a link rather than an attachment (if "Mail certificate" is also enabled)?

The fonts to use on all test pages. If you specify more than one separated by commas, the first one that exists on the user's computer will be used.

Font color can be one of the following: aqua, black, blue, fuchsia, gray, green, lime, maroon, navy, olive, purple, red, silver, teal, white, and yellow

Font size should be specified as, for example, "10pt" for a 10-point font.
